VGH is the bridge to negative editing based on video EDL the not existing workprint is replaced by a computer graphic that shows the film, scaled to 1:1 on a monitor. The actual editing is very similar to the conventional flow of work. The film datas are synchronised with the real film, whose datas were obtained digitally before and stored on a harddisc or DVD.
